What some may label as modification, Mansory refer to as “refinement” – they now offer a “refinement programme” for the Mercedes-Benz GLS which covers four main areas of customisation – design, wheels, interior and performance.
As with everything that leaves the Mansory workshop, the appearance of the GLS has been accentuated by way of a rather generous amount of carbon fibre. It has been used on the front air intakes, the front apron, the exterior mirrors, and the rear apron where the customer has the choice of ordering the rear diffuser with or without a central third brake light. The exterior appearance is brought together by the roof spoiler and air outlets, both of which keep the design language of the GLS discreet. The standard Mercedes-Benz logos are replaced by Mansory logos
Depending on what the customer desires, the firm offers an array of alloy wheels in either 22- or 23-inch options. Mansory state that the focus of all rim designs is to “accentuate the elegant appearance of all models in a sporty and elegant manner.”
As per the usual Mansory treatment, the interior of the vehicle can be specified and modified just as the customer wishes. The entire interior can be completely rewrapped in the finest of hides, with the option to change all stitching to individual colours such as those of the exterior paintwork for example. Various carbon-fibre applications adorn the interior, along with leather-carbon sports steering wheel, floor mats and an aluminium pedal set, all wearing Mansory logos just in case you forget who bejazzled your GLS.
In addition to the wide array of visual and refinement options available from Mansory, the vehicle’s ECU is also modified, thus improving the performance of your GLS, regardless of powertrain.
A Mansory suspension lowering kit is also available which offers two-level adjusting front and rear for a total lowering of between 20 and 30 mm.
