McLaren Automotive says an electric P1 has been added to its ever-expanding range, but is on offer to a limited group of potential customers only: those under the age of six.
Yes, the British automaker has whipped the covers off a diminutive McLaren P1, resplendent in Volcano Yellow and featuring a central driving position, just like the iconic McLaren F1.
Interestingly, this little P1 features an open roof, but still retains McLaren’s signature dihedral doors.
“Like every McLaren, its acceleration is startling. The zero to maximum speed dash takes just two seconds,” the brand cheekily states in its press release. That top speed, though, is less than 5 km/h.
The vehicle features an audio system pre-programmed with a number of popular nursery rhymes, while the three-speed transmission also handily boasts a reverse gear.
The automaker says the new vehicle will be available from selected McLaren retailers around the world from the end of October, priced at £375 (about R6 600)…
