Mercedes-Benz has released information on and images of its Mercedes-AMG A35 Edition 1 model, which will be built for the first 18 months of the new baby hot hatch’s production cycle.
Standard equipment on the A35 Edition 1 includes the AMG Aerodynamics Package as well as the AMG Night Package.
The former comprises a new front apron with larger splitter and additional high-gloss flics in black plus a fixed rear spoiler. The lateral spoilers around the outlets of the rear apron and the faux-diffuser also have a high-gloss black finish.
The Night Package, meanwhile, adds various exterior elements in black as well as tinted windows from the B-pillar and tailpipe trim in black chrome.
The A35 Edition 1 is finished in a “denim blue” hue with "tech gold" accents on the side-mirror caps and the lower sections of the doors. The 19-inch “Livorno” alloys are painted the same hue and come in a high-sheen finish.
Inside, you’ll find AMG Performance seats upholstered with black/grey Artico/Dinamica featuring blue accents and grey contrasting stitching. There’s also an AMG Performance steering wheel, plus heated seats, ambient lighting, aluminium trim elements and an “Edition” badge on the aforementioned tiller.
As a reminder, the A35’s turbocharged 2,0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine sends its 225 kW and 400 N.m to all four corners via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The result is a sprint from zero to 100 km/h in a claimed 4,7 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h.
