Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series (officially) breaks cover in fresh video!

By: CAR magazine

The folks from Affalterbach have revealed the new Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series in an official video, seemingly in response to images leaking online.

The one-minute clip posted to Mercedes-AMG’s channel curiously stars Tim Burton, a British YouTuber you probably know better as “Shmee150”.

In the footage, Burton sneaks into the Mercedes-Benz facility, snaps a few photographs of the GT Black Series and then proceeds to drive it away, before abandoning it at the side of the road. It’s during this joy ride we are afforded a decent look at the new model, complete with wide fenders and towering rear wing (plus plenty of other aero upgrades).

The video, however, doesn’t reveal the newcomer’s peak outputs, though earlier rumours suggested the twin-turbo 4,0-litre V8 would generate a whopping 536 kW and 850 N.m (Affalterbach’s GT R, for the sake of comparison, makes 430 kW and 700 N.m).
