Ultimate Toys, one the largest distributors of kitted-out Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans in the United States, has revealed its latest offering, the aptly named Presidential. And it can even be specified with a built-in bathroom…
Developed with help from Midwest Automotive Design, a tuning company that specialises in “luxury custom” Mercedes-Benz Sprinters, this van is far from ordinary.
Inside, the Presidential is equipped with a plethora of luxury items, including a “classy” Maybach ceiling panel, custom wood lap tables and composite wood grain flooring. It boasts an array of gadgets, too, from a pair of high-definition LED televisions (28- and 20-inch), Apple TV, onboard WiFi to a touchscreen entertainment console.
But the two firms didn’t stop there. Yes, this special Sprinter can actually be specified with a bathroom. According to Ultimate Toys, this “exclusive” three-square-metre bathroom, which is already an uncommon feature in vans of this size, is some three times roomier than the industry standard.
For increased comfort, the AMG-style rear seats can be folded down to form a bed on which passengers can enjoy a nap. A kitchenette and a bar fridge is also included in the price.
Parking this 7,3-metre van may require some skill, but thankfully Midwest Automotive Design has fitted a reversing camera as standard. Under the bonnet, you’ll find a 3,5-litre V6 turbodiesel engine sending 140 kW and 325 N.m of torque to the wheels.
How much does all of this cost? Well, according to the Vehicle Virgins video below, the Presidential will set you back some $135,000 (that’s R2 009 367 in local money)…
