Everybody worries about Mothers Day. Go to any shop and you’ll be bombarded with Mother’s Day regalia and paraphernalia. From posters and mugs to assortments of flowers, chocolates, etc, one might argue that you’ll rarely see the same energy put into products geared towards Father’s Day.
No problem though, because your fathers day celebrations don’t have to be as unimaginative as the “best dad ever mugs” you’ll find at Woolworths. Celebrate this Father’s day weekend by attending the 2022 A State of Stance event, brought to you by VP Racing Fuels SA.
Expect to see over 150 stanced cars on display at the Pavillion Shopping Centre in Westville, Durban on the 18th and 19th of June. If unreasonably low cars with loud exhausts, gutted drift cars, thrilling hotrods, spinning, and stunts are what you and your fathers are into, then go ahead and get your tickets at webtickets.co.za. Tickets cost R250 per person on Saturday and R200 on Sunday. There is a VIP section too that costs R500 per person on Saturday and R400 on Sunday. Children under 10 enter for free on both days.
The show starts at 9 am and runs until 5 pm on both days. Saturday has an afterparty happening from 5 pm to 12 am, while Sunday has a night drifting event from 5 pm to 8 pm, which may include a few appearances by some of the Red Bull Car Park Drift champions, so expect some top-notch sideways action on Sunday night.
The event will include an array of car-related activities from sim driving rigs to a food festival that will, according to the folks at GasMagazine, cater to every palette. Acclaimed stunt driver, Didi Bizzarro, will make an appearance at the event to show off his skills. A few local celebs will also be in attendance, from DJ Dalootz to SA’s Queen of Smoke Stacy-Lee May.
This is supposed to be Africa’s largest motor show so its definitely something you don’t want to miss out on!
