Alfa Romeo takes to the 41st historical re-enactment Mille Miglia showing the best of both new and old for the famed Italian brand.

Over the past few days, the roads of the Italian peninsula have been brimmed with priceless classics of yesteryear – some that formerly raced these public routes in one of the most iconic races of all time; the Mille Miglia. With over 400 models waiting at the starting line, from brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari and Jaguar representing those better known, Alfa Romeo took the opportunity to demonstrate their illustrious history in their own backyard.

With 47 models wearing the biscione, some of the more iconic include priceless gems in the form of a 1900 Sport Spider and the 2000 Sportiva, both from 1954, and the 1900 Super Sprint from 1956.

These manufacturer-owned models in the care and possession of the Heritage collection at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese. Such is the history of Alfa Romeo, who have been around for over 110 years, but anniversaries exist with affiliates of the brand including 10 years of the Alfa Romeo 4C, the 60th of Autodelta, and the centenary of the Quadrifoglio emblem which lines the most potent modern day derivatives to roll off of the production line.

Spanning between the 13th of June and ending on the 17th, tomorrow – the prestigious 41st re-enactment of the famed Mille Miglia gives vintage cars an opportunity to display their superlative bodywork on the roads as part of the regularity race. Follow it live here.
In the Alfa Romeo arsenal of 47 cars strong include three prestigious models that lined the ranks of the Italian icon from yore. The 1900 Sport Spider has been entrusted to Marius Pop, founder of the “Alfattitude” web community that brings together thousands of Alfisti fans from all over the world, and to Virgiliu Andone; a key contributor on the platform.

The 2000 Sportiva is helmed by the all-German and Alfisti couple of Tom Wlaschiha, leading actor in Game of Thrones and Stranger Things, and Nina Maria Weizenecker, an automotive influencer famous on the web as NinaCarMaria. Finally, the 1900 Super Sprint will compete with its drivers, the social media face of the Italian fashion brand Velasca, Lorenzo Quaglia alongside Giovanni Giuseppe Savini.

In addition to these vintage models and to celebrate a centenary of the Quadrifoglio badge, Alfa Romeo also has units of the latest Giulia “Quadrifoglio 100° Anniversario”, which is the latest of the performance SUV to be endowed with relevant updates on the exterior and interior.
