Following a recent tease campaign, Peugeot has finally taken the wraps off of its newest flagship crossover, the all-new 3008.
Built on PSA’s EMP2 platform the exterior design of the new 3008 incorporates Peugeot’s current design language adapted to suit the crossover segment, including a raised ground clearance and roof rails.
Peugeot’s much vaunted new virtual i-cockpit makes its first appearance in the 3008. Here a new 12,3-inch digital instrument display complements an 8-inch infotainment screen and a row of a “sensory” piano key toggle switches on the facia.
A neat innovation is the optional incorporation of either an electric scooter or electrically-assisted bicycle incorporated within the luggage compartment, either option charged by the vehicle while stowed.
Engine options are likely to include PSA’s impressive 1,2 Puretech turbopetrol engine, as well as a choice of up to four turbodiesel units.
The Peugeot 3008 will see a worldwide release this October after its official reveal at the 2016 Paris Motorshow. Pricing should follow after its reveal.
