The Honda Elevate is set to hit the market this month, expanding Honda’s SUV lineup and replacing the WR-V in South Africa. Here are details ahead of its launch.

Built on the same platform as the popular Ballade, this all-new model boasts a progressive cabin designed for a modern and premium experience.
Maintaining Honda’s clean layout, the interior features soft-touch elements on the dashboard, a dual-tone theme of black with brown leather upholstery, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen supporting wireless smartphone integration. The 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster adds to the upmarket feel, while a sunroof enhances the overall experience.

Measuring 4 312 mm with a wheelbase of 2 650 mm, the Elevate is larger than its predecessor and comparable in size to the HR-V. It offers a commendable 458 litres of boot space and a ground clearance of 220 mm makes it suitable for light off-road adventures. Honda describes the styling as a perfect symphony of bold, masculine and confident design.
Under the skin, the Elevate is equipped with the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine as the Ballade, delivering 89 kW of power and 145 N.m of torque. The power is transmitted to the front wheels through either a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT.

Upon its arrival, the Honda Elevate will enter a competitive segment, facing off against rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Toyota Urban Cruiser. The timing is crucial, as the crossover market is currently highly contested. With its features, size and performance, the Elevate aims to make a mark in this tight competition.
