The BMW Alpina XB7, which first hit the market in 2020 and underwent a significant facelift in 2022, has established itself as one of Alpina’s most sought-after models. With a production run of 2 880 units, around 550 of which were sold in Europe, the XB7 has garnered a loyal following. For 2025, Alpina is raising the stakes with the introduction of the XB7 Manufaktur.
This special edition leverages Alpina’s Manufaktur program, a bespoke customization service that allows owners to tailor their vehicles with unique, high-quality finishes and details. The program underscores Alpina’s commitment to craftsmanship and exclusivity, offering a vast selection of bespoke options to create a truly personalized driving experience.
A standout feature of the BMW Alpina XB7 Manufaktur is its 23-inch Alpina Classic forged wheels, which come standard. These wheels, finished in “Aluminum Satin,” undergo a high-gloss compaction process that results in a mirror-like surface. To protect and enhance their appearance, the wheels are sealed with a matte clear coat.
The XB7 Manufaktur also introduces two new exterior styling options: “Black Line” and “Aluminum Satin Line.” These packages go beyond the standard BMW trim, incorporating unique Alpina elements such as SWITCH-TRONIC shift paddles, tailpipes, steering wheel stitching, model lettering, and an exclusive Manufaktur badge on the rear of the vehicle. Customers can choose these elements in either Black or Aluminum Satin finishes. Additionally, the interior features XB7 embossing on the headrests, specific Manufaktur emblems on the floor mats, an Alpina production plaque, and a distinctive engine compartment badge.

Beneath the bonnet, the XB7 Manufaktur retains the powerful 4.4-litre V8 Bi-Turbo engine derived from BMW’s S68 engine. This powerhouse delivers 463 kW and 800 N.m of torque, ensuring robust performance. To manage the vehicle’s substantial weight and provide excellent driving dynamics, Alpina has equipped the XB7 with a two-axle air suspension system featuring unique damper and kinematic setups. The high-performance Alpina brake system is also standard.
In terms of colour options, the XB7 Manufaktur offers Alpina’s special paint finishes in Alpina Blue metallic and Alpina Green II metallic. For those opting for the Black or Aluminum Satin exterior elements, a range of BMW Individual Metallic paints is available, including Gunmetal II, Jerez Black, Orinoco, Malachite Green, and Wildberry. Alpina has announced that deliveries of the XB7 Manufaktur will commence in the first quarter of 2025. However, it remains unclear whether this exclusive edition will be available globally. In Germany, the BMW Alpina XB7 Manufaktur is priced at 190,500 euros, approximately R3.8 million.
