Aston Martin has revealed its most extreme roadster ever: a one-off Vantage GT12 Roadster commissioned for a private customer.
Conceived and built in just nine months, the Vantage GT12 Roadster takes the original GT12 Coupe’s hardcore ethos and adds the thrill of open-top driving, offering the driver an unfiltered version of the V12’s thunderous soundtrack.
The 6,0-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine makes 441 kW and is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. Updates include magnesium inlet manifolds, a lightweight magnesium torque tube and a full titanium exhaust system.
From the outside, the GT12 Roadster features a raft of new carbon-fibre body panels as well as bespoke paint and trim. Underneath, there’s a fettled suspension set-up.
Naturally, the identity of the well-heeled customer has been kept secret, along with exactly how much they paid for this one-off vehicle.
