The current Audi R8 and TT RS too tame in the looks department for you? Fear not, as Audi has revealed a range of performance parts for both coupes, consisting of rather aggressive respective aero kits.
Also included it this catalogue of retrofit parts are interior, suspension and exhaust upgrades. For now available exclusively for the R8 and TT RS, Audi says other cars in its line-up will eventually also gain this treatment option.
Developed in Audi’s wind tunnel, the aero kit consisting of a carbon fibre-reinforced polymer front splitter with “flics”, a massive fixed wing and upgraded aft diffuser. On the R8, for example, this kit is said to offer an additional 100 kg worth of downforce, compared with the standard car, at 330 km/h.
Completing the package is a set of race-inspired 20-inch alloy wheels that shave more than 7 kg from the overall mass of each model.
Both interior treatments gain flat-bottomed Alcantara steering wheels with carbon fibre shift paddles. TT RS owners will also have the option to remove their rear seats in favour of a weight-saving cross-member strut brace for improved torsional rigidity.
The performance parts catalogue also includes more powerful and durable brake linings, two different coil-over suspensions setup options and an Akrapovic exhaust system.
Audi says that the performance parts catalogue will be released by the end of the third quarter of this year. Local availability is under consideration.
