Audi RS4 Avant’s twin-turbo V6 gets even more power from ABT…

By: CAR magazine

Audi tuning specialist ABT recently revealed its power-increase package for the facelifted RS4 Avant, raising the standard peak output of 331 kW to 375 kW. Now the German firm has created an even higher state of tune in the form of the “Power S” kit.

Thanks to the fitment of the ABT Engine Control unit along with a watercooler kit and air-intake cover, peak outputs from the twin-turbo 2,9-litre V6 have been increased to 390 kW and 680 N.m of torque. An intercooler can be fitted at an additional cost.

The engine is provided with more character by means of a stainless-steel exhaust system which connects to four 102 mm carbon-fibre tailpipes complete with glossy black inserts integrated into the rear skirt.

But this package features more than just a power increase. For those wanting their RS4 to make more of a visual statement, ABT has introduced some new aero components, including wheelhouse ventilation features with carbonfins and a CFRP rear spoiler.

At set of 20 or 21-inch wheels, a height-adjustable suspension and a pair of anti-roll bars are also offered, all of which were introduced on the 375 kW variant.
