The Ford Maverick has been a notable success within the North American market where it is sold exclusively as a more compact offering next to the Ranger. There is already an SUV alternative for this product with the Bronco Sport, which uses the same platform but what if Ford decided to make a Maverick SUV to captalise on the success?
Answering this question is Kdesign who has put together a rendition of what such a product could look like. The proposed bite-sized Everest boasts the usual design cues such as the C-shaped headlamps but to give it a more distinctive and robust look, the designer has opted to black out the silver trimmings. Furthermore, gloss black wheel arch cladding and a bonnet scoop together with a pair of panels applied to the lower parts of the doors have been detailed.
The big design cue applied to the digitally penned Ford Maverick is the cargo area added to the bed which creates the SUV body style. The boxy addition boasts a slight spoiler that flows into the large window of the tailgate. Keeping with the theme of the rest of the car, the rear of the Ford Maverick SUV also adopts gloss black trimmings for the tailgate and bumper. A sporty persona is added via a set of dual exhaust pipes.
Although the next-generation Ford Ranger’s official reveal is just around the corner, with a number of units already being spied, very little information is available regarding the replacement for the current Everest.
