Bentley has just given the world a look at the fastest production car it has ever created. The new Continental GT Speed Black Edition sees the high-end British Grand Tourer making use of the usual W12 engine pushed to deliver more power. Visually, it doesn’t make use of anything unique from the standard GT Speed. It will be available as both a hardtop or convertible.
There have been a few detailing enhancements with regards to the interior. The fascia, centre and roof consoles are made up of carbon fibre while the upholstery adopts a colour contrasting theme to match the exterior trim.
The 6,0-litre twin-turbo W12 engine in the Black Edition will deliver 479 kW and 820 N.m (7 kW and 20 N.m more than the standard GT) thanks to an optomised boost control. This means that the Black Edition will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4,1 seconds. The Black Edition will eventually top off at 331 km/h.
This GT Speed will only be available this August but potential customers can place their orders if they wish. No word on pricing or availability for South Africa just yet.
