The BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo was revealed last month as a replacement for the 5 Series GT. Now BMW has revealed images showing the optional M Performance Parts that can be fitted to the newcomer to make it look a little more dynamic.
M Performance Parts are available for most cars in the BMW family, so this latest news should come as no surprise. As expected, the catalogue is extensive and includes extras such as an uprated exhaust system, a high-gloss black finish for the kidney grille and a carbon-fibre finish for the side-mirror caps.
There’s also a set of 21-inch lightweight alloy wheels complemented by an upgraded braking system with four-piston front and single-piston rear callipers. BMW says that these callipers are painted red to show that the design of the “sport brake system is derived from motor racing”.
There are also some components available for the interior, such as the sports steering wheel, which adopts a flat-bottomed design and is composed of Alcantara and Nappa leather, sewn together with a silver-grey cross stitching with a red marker at the central position.
The M Performance Parts are set to become available with the launch of the 6 Series Gran Turismo in the final quarter of this year.
