Ever find yourself thinking the BMW M2 Competition is too tame? Well, it seems the folks over at German tuner G-Power think so, too, revealing its latest performance upgrades for the Bavarian brand’s smallest coupé.
The newly unveiled package includes modifications to the turbochargers, a new exhaust system and the firm’s V4 performance software.
The 3,0-litre inline-six, which churns out 302 kW and 550 N.m as standard, now produces an additional 205 kW and 310 N.m of torque.
Yes, that means the uprated twin-turbo mill now sends a staggering 507 kW and 860 N.m of torque to the rear wheels via its seven-speed automatic transmission. Not only are these figures more than the Munich-based automaker’s most hardcore M4 (the CS with 338 kW and 600 N.m), they also top those of the M5 Competition’s 4,4-litre twin-turbo V8 (460 kW/750 N.m).
The Brunsbüttel-based company says this tuned M2 Competition is capable of reaching the 100 km/h mark from standstill one second quicker than standard (3,2 seconds compared with 4,2 seconds). Top speed is claimed to be more than 330 km/h.
The tuned coupé rides on 20-inch Hurricane RR forged double-spoke wheels (here in a gold hue), which are wrapped in performance tyres (245/30 up front and 285/25 aft).
