As anticipated, the 2023 BMW M2 has already had interest perpetuated with a bold new body kit. Instagram user Wilcoblok has posted a set of official-looking photos of the new Bavarian coupe fitted with M-Performance parts, said to be sourced directly from BMW M.
Revealed earlier this week, the second-generation M2 is BMW’s latest M car, powered by a 3,0-litre twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder petrol engine, producing 338 kW of power and 550 N.m of torque. The new BMW M2 represents another highlight event in the model, celebrating the 50-year anniversary of BMW M GmbH. The new edition of the coupé makes the first step into the world of high performance sports cars at BMW M, the two-door machine embodies an unadulterated racing passion that owners can enjoy day in and day out.
The extremely athletic proportions of the new BMW M2 combined with its powerfully sculpted forms. This produces an emotionally engaging aesthetic, which accentuates the wide stance of the new BMW M2 in particular.
The front of the leaked BMW M2 with M-Performance parts appears to be fitted with a carbon-fibre front splitter flanked by tall canards fitted against the edges of the bumper. The outer air intakes feature diagonal rather than horizontal bar inserts.
The side profile images show off more carbon-fibre elements, including wheel arch attachments with horizontal strakes and an L-shaped panel tacked onto the side skirts. There are even more tweaks at the back, with a revised lower bumper housing four centre-mounted quad exhaust tips in an inverted V-shape, rather than the two sets of dual tips on the standard car.
Additional changes to the BMW M2’s rear section include more black highlights around the fog lights, an aggressive rear wing and a roof-mounted spoiler sitting just above the rear window. The BMW M2’s visual upgrades are capped off with black carbon mirror caps and unique 10-spoke, 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels.
Interior upgrades include three steering wheel options, an Alcantara-covered M Performance steering wheel, an open-pore carbon-fibre finish or the unadulterated wheel with integrated race display with lap times, G-metre and shift indicators.
Carbon fibre represents the main theme inside the cabin where the lightweight material adorns the dashboard and centre console.
The new BMW M2 builds on the brand’s tradition of ultra-sporty models with compact dimensions. The M-Performance Parts give owners a higher degree of personalization for their vehicles, these parts are optional but the add-ons certainly make a bold statement and add improved aerodynamics and more visual flair to the cars.
