Worried that the BMW 6 Series isn’t distinctive enough in its standard guise? Well, you’re in luck. The German automaker has revealed a new M Sport Limited Edition variant, which ups the visual ante.
The new variant is offered in conjunction with the M sports package as configured for each specific model, and comprises a compilation of options and design features for both the exterior and interior.
BMW says the M Sport Limited Edition will be available to order in “restricted numbers” from April 2017 for all three BMW 6 Series body shapes (regardless of engine): coupé, convertible and gran coupé.
So, what does the package comprise? Well, the most obvious feature is the Sonic Speed Blue metallic paint finish, while the new, dual-tone 20-inch M light alloy wheels (with mixed tyres) also immediately catch the eye. Look closer still and you’ll notice that the side-mirror caps are finished in carbon-fibre.
Inside, the front “comfort seats” are trimmed in fine-grain Merino leather, while the floor mats echo the Fjord Blue hue with contrasting piping. In addition, this model features a splash more carbon-fibre trim (even on the gear lever) and door sill strips coloured blue and bearing the inscription “M Sport Limited Edition”.
No word yet on pricing or whether we can expect this new variant to be offered locally.
