Set to be officially revealed at the Geneva Motor Show this March, Ferrari has prepared an extreme handling package for its California T and it’s called the HS package (Handling Speciale). The package includes some new design features and an enhanced suspension, transmission and exhaust system.
Appearance wise the HS gives the California a front grille and rear diffuser painted in a matte Grigio Ferro Met color. Matte black fences and tailpipes, as well as special badging in the interior have also been added for good measure.
In terms of suspension the new damper settings and modified springs now provide the California HS with a series of specific calibrations and setups for the suspension. As a result the California HS is much stiffer than the standard model making it even sportier and a marginal sacrifice of comfort with a 16% increase of stiffness on the front and 19% on the rear.
Shifting in the California HS is also a lot more responsive thanks to a revised gear-shift logic which works together with the now louder exhaust system to provide a more inviting experience for the driver. In terms of performance the California HS is aided by a remapped F1-Trac logic for better acceleration for exiting corners on both leveled and bumpy road surfaces.
Expect to learn more about the California HS at the Geneva Motor Show this March.
