Volkswagen has teamed up with tuning company ABT Sportsline to create this special edition Golf R, dubbed the VW Golf R360S. Unfortunately for global Golf fans, this limited edition model has been produced exclusively for Switzerland.
How many will be built? Well, according to German publication Auto Motor Und Sport, just 220, split between the hatchback (165 units) and the variant (55 units) body styles.
Thanks to some under-bonnet fettling from the folks at ABT, the 2,0-litre turbo-four in the Golf R360S makes 265 kW and 460 N.m (up from the standard 206 kW and 380 N.m).
This added oomph sees the obligatory zero to 100 km/h sprint time fall half-a-second to 4,7 seconds, while top speed increases from 250 km/h to 265 km/h.
As with the standard Golf R, the R360S will be available with either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, with power sent to all four corners. The standard features list has also been bulked up, with items such as electric adjustment for the driver’s seat, a reversing camera and navigation part of the package.
Visual additions include special black livery, exclusive 17-inch black wheels and R360S badging.
