The all-electric BMW i3 sedan has been unveiled by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The upcoming eco-model retains its conventional proportions but a number of distinctive design cues have been added to signify its ICE-free drivetrain.
Based on the figures provided by China’s MIT site, the BMW i3 sedan is available with a power output of 250 kW and boasts a rather lofty kerb mass figure of 2 029 kg. Resultantly, it’ll reach a top speed of 180 km/h.
Shown here in long-wheelbase guise, the sedan measures 4 872 mm long, 1 846 mm wide and 1 481 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2 966 mm. The front and rear track measures in at 1 593 mm and 1 581 mm respectively.
Where design is concerned, the BMW i3 sedan boasts the now conventional i-design kidney grille with blue accents, aerodynamic-focused 18-inch alloy wheels and a rather characterful diffuser design on the rear bumper. Furthermore, it maintains the front and rear LED lamps, glass sunroof and shark fin antenna.
