BMW South Africa has released pricing for its facelifted 7 Series range, with the local line-up set to comprise five derivatives.
As we reported at the start of the year, only long-wheelbase variants (and thus no longer the standard-wheelbase models) will be available locally when the range touches down in May or June 2019, mirroring the approach taken by Mercedes-Benz South Africa with its S-Class saloon.
While we unearthed pricing (on the brand's configurator) for three of the five derivatives soon after the refreshed luxury sedan’s reveal in January, the local arm of the Munich-based firm has now confirmed the final figures while also listing pricing for the remaining two variants.
The line-up kicks off with the 740Li from R1 638 400, while the 730Ld will set you back from R1 669 400. The plug-in hybrid 745Le xDrive is next from R1 755 300, with the 750Li xDrive (employing the brand’s 4,4-litre V8 engine, here worth 390 kW) starting at R2 156 700.
And the V12-powered M760Li xDrive? Well, the flagship M Performance version of the 7 Series lives on, bearing a starting price of R2 806 400.
As a reminder, the large-of-grille facelifted 7 Series ships standard with the BMW Live Cockpit Professional system, comprising a navigation and multimedia system, together with a fully digital, high-resolution instrument cluster with a screen diagonal of 12,3 inches, plus a control display measuring 10,25 inches across.
The German brand’s so-called “Intelligent Personal Assistant” is another element of the newly included BMW Operating System 7.0 system.
