The updated Fiat 500X crossover range has arrived in South Africa almost three years after it was revealed, bringing with it some revisions to the design and updated trim levels.
Kicking off the range is the Fiat 500X Cult with a price tag of R394 900. Included in this is a set of 16-inch alloy wheels, halogen DRLs, black painted mirror covers, a techno-leather steering wheel, manual air conditioning, a radio interface with Bluetooth connected to six speakers, a black-and-white 3,5-inch TFT display, lane keep assist, cruise control and an electronic parking brake.
This is followed by the Fiat 500X Connect which, at R499 900, comes standard with LED DRLs, foglamps, privacy glass, a soft touch steering wheel, a height adjustable driver’s seat, front armrest, a seven-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and rear parking sensors.
Next up is the Fiat 500X Cross at R519 900 which offers 17-inch alloy wheels, body coloured mirror caps, satin chrome door handles and moldings, skid plates, roof rails and dual-zone air conditioning. The Sport trim tops the range off at R519 900 as well but comes standard with 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, dark grey external details, a dual chrome exhaust tip, sports steering wheel and sporty interior elements.
All Fiat 500X facelift models are powered by the brand’s 1,4-litre four-cylinder direct injection petrol engine which delivers 103 kW and 230 N.m of torque to the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission in the Cult and Connect and six-speed dual-clutch in the Cross and Sport.
