MS-RT specialises in customising commercial vehicles and imbuing them with motorsport-inspired flair founded on years of experience across various facets of motorsports, from rally to GT3 racing. Additionally, MS-RT has a partnership with Ford, allowing their products to be sold and serviced through Ford’s dealer network. Their latest creation is a reimagined Ranger with the physique and stance of a classic street truck.
Using the double-cab diesel V6-powered iteration of the Ranger as its foundation, MS-RT has introduced several eye-catching cosmetic enhancements to the Ranger’s exterior. A new front bumper with a honeycomb grille, integrated front splitter, new LED headlights and side vents adorns the front end of the MS-RT Ranger. Flared wheel arches attributed to the 82 mm increase in overall width compared to standard Ranger models and shroud 21-inch diamond-cut satin black alloy wheels wrapped in noise-reducing Continental tyres.

Sculpted side skirts undercut the deployable power side steps and aid at accentuating the Ranger’s side profile, seemingly spawning from the front wheel side air vents. The cab is punctuated by an extended spoiler overseeing the load bed, which, despite the many alterations to the platform, is still capable of lugging a payload of up to 1 000 kg. The tail-end of the bespoke Ranger features an aggressive motorsport-esque diffuser and ducktail spoiler. A sports suspension kit is also offered for the MS-RT Ranger and lowers the ride height by 40 mm.
Alterations to the cabin space range from the sporty seats with bucket-seat styler bolsters, a sculpted heated sports steering wheel with a 12 o’clock marking, MS-RT branded floor mats, and MS-RT rear seats are the most noteworthy differentiators in the MS-RT model. Customers can opt for full Eco-leather seats and a rally-inspired decal package.
Motivating the sportier Ranger is an undisturbed 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6 affording 180 kW/ 600 N.m to the double cab’s four corners. Has MS-RT improved the appeal of the Ranger or not?
