Got grille? Carlex Design hands Hyundai Santa Fe an extreme makeover

By: CAR magazine

For the first time in its history, Carlex Design has turned its attention to a South Korean vehicle, handing the Hyundai Santa Fe an extreme makeover and adding the “Urban Edition” moniker.

The company has given the pre-facelift version of the large SUV a head-turning body kit that includes a redesigned front bumper playing host to a massive grille, new foglamps and a splitter. At the rear, the aggressive theme continues with a rear diffuser housing quad-exhaust outlets and a prominent rear spoiler affixed to the top of the hatch.

A more purposeful profile is created by the addition of a set of flared wheel arches, a suspension drop and black alloy wheels. A black wrap has been used on the top half of the Santa Fe to break the white body paint, thus creating a contrasted colour scheme.

The Polish company makes no mention of any engine upgrades to accompany the visual makeover.
