The Navara is associated with things such as off-roading and utility operations but never have we thought of it as a project for speed. The guys down at Severn Valley Motorsport had the idea to make use of Nissan’s VR38DETT twin-turbo V6 found in the R35 GT-R to give it more of an aggressive persona.
This engine has been used in models such as the Juke and the Qashqai but to our knowledge it hasn’t yet been used in the likes of the Navara. This one has a power output of 597 kW but for those who wish, the engine can be tuned all the way to 1 119 kW. This Navara is still in its development stages but a private buyer does have his name on the books.
Despite this crazy power output number the aim for the Navara is to only reach the 322 km/h target. This is to be achieved by not only swapping the engine out but by also making some drastic enhancements to the chassis and suspension. For those who really wish for a Navara that can handle the track, SVM are willing to apply the Navara’s body onto the GT-R’s platform for an unmentioned but presumably hefty price.
