The GWM Superbakkie as teased last week, was revealed at this year’s Guangzhou auto show as a design concept for the Cannon series. The concept adds a dynamic look to the premium double-cab bakkie.
Where appearances are concerned, the GWM Superbakkie boasts a conclusive wide body kit that includes changes to all angles of the body. The front bumper has been made to look ever more dynamic with its integrated splitter, additional air intakes, chrome headlamp detail and yellow accents applied to the grille. The bonnet also boasts a number of dynamic ques.
At the sides we see that the ride of the GWM Superbakkie has been lowered almost all the way to the ground while a pair of significantly widened arches and low profile tyres housing a set of gloss black alloy wheels with yellow accents further highlights the element of performance.
We don’t have a clear look of the rear but we can notice a set of bold chrome-tipped quad-pipe exhausts housed in an aggressive bumper fixture. A subtle spoiler integrated into the tailgate and smoked taillamps act as the finishing touches for this unique concept.
No official word regarding a production model for the GWM Superbakkie has been provided by the Chinese manufacturer.
Bold lines and a new design, that’s what the supercar pick-up #POER represents! But what should we call it? We would like to ask for your help to name our new model. Comment to share your ideas! #GWM #AutoGuangzhou2021 #GoFunTheWorld pic.twitter.com/0w0p8UnUPW
