The updated Jaguar XE range is expected to arrive in South Africa at some point in the first half of 2021 but the firm has already released local pricing.

The range is set to start at R785 024 and run through to R931 856, before options. Have a look at full pricing at the bottom of this story (hat-tip to our friends at duoporta.com).

The British firm announced a handful of changes for its compact premium sedan in October 2020, with interior updates including a new split-rim steering wheel, a fresh quilt design for the seats and the latest Pivi Pro infotainment system with a 10-inch touchscreen.

The updated local line-up will be trimmed from ten variants to six, with a fresh all-wheel-drive P300 flagship joining the range, offering 221 kW and 400 N.m from its turbocharged 2,0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine. This range-topper will ship standard in R-Dynamic HSE guise, completing the 0-100 km/h sprint in a claimed 5,9 seconds.

All five other derivatives make use of a lower-powered version of this forced-induction four-pot, sending 184 kW and 365 N.m to the rear axle via an eight-speed automatic transmission for a claimed 0-100 km/h time of 6,7 seconds. These P250 models will be offered in S, SE, R-Dynamic SE and R-Dynamic HSE forms. There’s also a new R-Dynamic Black option.

Pricing:
Jaguar XE P250 S: R785 024
Jaguar XE P250 SE: R810 124
Jaguar XE P250 R-Dynamic SE: R839 524
Jaguar XE P250 R-Dynamic SE Black: R858 024
Jaguar XE P250 R-Dynamic HSE: R889 524
Jaguar XE P300 AWD R-Dynamic HSE: R931 856
