Hit or miss? Lumma Design reveals its take on the Audi Q8…

By: CAR magazine

This is, er, “interesting” to look at. Lumma Design has revealed its new “tailor-made aerodynamics package” for the Audi Q8, handing Ingolstadt’s flagship SUV even more extroverted exterior styling.

Dubbed the Lumma CLR 8S, the package includes enlarged wheelarches, a front spoiler extension, a bonnet attachment, chunkier side-sills, a new rear apron (complete with a diffuser element and four tailpipes), a roof spoiler and an extra lip that runs below the rear screen and above the full-length taillamps.

The Winterlingen-based tuner says all components included in the package are manufactured from “high-quality materials” from Germany, and are optionally offered in visible carbon-fibre guise.

The firm furthermore offers two in-house wheel designs. The 22-inch Lumma CLR 22 LX alloys boast ten brushed “V” spokes, and are wrapped in 285/40 R22 tyres at the front and 325/35 R22 tyres at the rear. The Lumma CLR 24 RS wheels, meanwhile, each feature a matte-black multicomponent look and a diameter of 24 inches. These alloys are supplied with 295/30 R24 rubber fore and 355/25 R24 rubber rear.

Lumma Design team says it also offers a “wide array” of upgrades for the interior as well as performance enhancements diesel and petrol engines. We’ve no doubt the tuner has something in store for the recently revealed SQ8, too…
