The next-generation Honda Civic Type R has been officially teased by the brand while conducting prototype testing at Suzuka. The series of pictures details the development process of the halo hot hatch with members of the team working through the night.
As noticed with the first set of images for the prototype, the next Honda Civic Type R shows somewhat of a dynamic front end with an exposed intercooler and aggressive air intakes. This is accentuated by a pair of slim LED headlamps and sleek bonnet.
At the sides, the Honda Civic Type R shows of a set of flared wheel arches while maintaining a four-door body layout. At the rear, things are turned down just a notch but the prominent rear wing mounted to the hatch remains.
We can expect to see an official reveal of the Honda Civic Type R sometime next year with a global market launch to proceed in 2023. Not much information regarding the anticipated hot hatch has been detailed.
