To add a level of sportiness to its local i20 line-up, Hyundai has introduced the N-Sport.
The most important improvement includes an increase in the 1,4-litre engine’s delivery. That standard 1,4-litre Fluid develops 74 kW and 133 N.m, while the N-Sport has been tuned to deliver 85 kW and 160 N.m. Part of the increase in the engine delivery is the fitment of a stainless steel free-flow exhaust system.
The suspension also came under the spotlight. According to Hyundai the stiffer springs lead to a slightly firmer ride, while the i20 also sits closer to the ground.
Visual enhancements include 17-inch alloy wheels and a sport body kit. The latter is made up of side skirts, front and rear bumper upgrades, side skirts and a small boor spoiler.
Hyundai’s sporty N-Sport will retail for R235 000, which includes a 3-year/60 000 km service plan. The standard 1,4 Fluid retails for R212 900.
