In order to make the subcompact crossover a bit more accessible, the Hyundai Venue 1,2 Motion has been added to the range as a new entry-level offering. The new model sports the brand’s naturally aspirated unit with fewer standard features.
Priced at R259 900, making it R58 000 less than the variant that follows it, the Hyundai Venue 1,2 Motion sources power from the firm’s naturally aspirated 1,2-litre four-pot mill that delivers 61 kW and 114 N.m of torque to the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.
The Hyundai Venue 1,2 Motion is sold with 15-inch steel wheels with styled covers as standard while colours that can be selected include Star Dust, Denim Blue, Typhoon Silver, Fiery Red, Polar White and Phantom Black.
Fitted as standard to this derivative is an 8,0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear park assist with a camera, electrically adjustable door mirrors, electrically operated windows and manual air conditioning.
For safety, the Hyundai Venue 1,2 Motion sports two airbags together with ISOFIX and ABS. Peace of mind is provided by the manufacturer’s seven-year/200 000 km warranty with a three-year/45 000 km service plan and seven-year/150 000 km roadside assistance.
