The JAC T8 2,0 CTi has been introduced to the local line-up as a flagship offering that hopes to appeal to lifestyle buyers. The new trim comes standard with a new turbodiesel engine and a number of safety and comfort features.
Powering the JAC T8 2,0 CTi, priced at R412 400 for the 4×2 and R462 600 for the 4×4 is a turbodiesel 2,0-litre four-cylinder engine which delivers 104 kW and 320 N.m of torque to the 4×4 system via a six-speed manual gearbox. With this powertrain, the Chinese manufacturer claims a fuel consumption figure of 8,7 L/100 km for the 4×2.
Visually, the JAC T8 2,0 CTi comes standard with a set of black wheel arches, running boards and a style bar. This is further enhanced via a set of two-tone 18-inch alloy wheels with a floral design, fitted to a set of 265/60 R18 tyres.
Fitted as standard to the JAC T8 2,0 CTi are two airbags, traction and stability control with hill-start and hold control, a brake override system with hydraulic brake assist and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Comfort features include a multi-function steering wheel, adjustable steering column, cruise control, air-conditioner, leather seats and electric windows. It also features a multi-information display instrument cluster, a reverse camera, rear park distance sensors, remote keyless entry and central locking with auto door locks.
Additionally, a 9,0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity is included. To round off the cabin and keep the driver and passengers connected, a USB- and 12V power socket are placed in a closable compartment in the centre console.
The JAC T8 2,0 CTi is sold standard with a five-year/150 000 km warranty and five-fear/60 000 km service plan.
