Jeep Wrangler handed posh revamp (and swathes of leather inside!)…

Ever thought the Jeep Wrangler was a little rough round the edges? Well, Sterling Automotive has a solution, with the British firm releasing an upgrade package for the American off-roader.

The JL-generation Wrangler has been fitted with a set of widened front and rear arches, along with a front bumper extension, a revised grille, a redesigned rear bumper, new side mirrors and a Sterling soft spare-wheel cover. The company has also thrown in 17-inch Pro Comp alloy wheels wrapped in 265/70 Davanti Terratoura tyres.

In the cabin, the Wrangler retains the original seats but they’ve been reupholstered in Sterling Automotive’s signature “3D-panelled” and perforated leather. The same treatment has been given to the armrests and centre compartment. The gear selector has likewise been reupholstered in leather while the dashboard and door cards have been finished in Alcantara.

Sterling Automotive has opted not to make changes under the bonnet, leaving the 147 kW 2,2-litre turbodiesel engine and its eight-speed automatic transmission unchanged.
