The most significant update is under the metal since all models now feature a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, generating 200 kW and 400 N.m of torque. This powerplant, coupled with an 8-speed ZF transmission, propels the Wrangler from 0 to 100 km/h in a claimed 7.6 seconds. Jeep emphasizes the Wrangler’s body-on-frame construction, five-link suspension, solid axles and available electronic lockers, ensuring its continued off-road capability. The Rubicon further benefits from a full-float Dana rear axle, promising robust performance and consistent power delivery in challenging terrains.
Visually, the most prominent change is the redesigned seven-slot grille. Inspired by the Rubicon 20th Anniversary Edition, the grille adopts a more contemporary aesthetic with revised textures for optimized airflow. While subtle, this update gives the Wrangler a slightly more modern face.
Inside, Jeep has focused on enhancing comfort and safety, and side-curtain airbags for both front and rear occupants are now standard. A significant upgrade is the inclusion of a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen infotainment system, complete with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Further enhancing the cabin are 12-way power-adjustable leather front seats.
