The Lada 4×4, formerly known as the Niva, is widely considered to be the pride of the Russian automobile industry. And now AvtoVAZ has decided to produce a special edition run of the trusty SUV to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
The special edition Lada 4×4 features a new colour scheme, inside and out, as well as some commemorative badging. It also gains a nifty set of alloy wheels.
The exterior is painted in either beige, red, white, terracotta or grey-blue and is complemented by a spot of black plastic trim. Other than that, it’s pretty much the same Niva the world has known for the past four decades.
The interior also gains a slight rework. The driver scores a set of orange-and-red gauges, an “eco-leather” steering wheel and stainless steel sills. “40th Anniversary” logos have been added to the carpets and seats, with the latter upholstered in either grey, black, beige or brown leather, complete with contrast stitching.
The Lada 4×4 also features a limited edition serial number identifying which of the 1 977 models you have in your possession. The limited edition derivative will go on sale in Russia this June.
