Lamborghini Urus handed more power (575 kW!) and menacing bodykit

German tuner Novitec has unveiled its take on the Lamborghini Urus, handing the Raging Bull brand’s first-ever crossover a menacing bodykit and a performance injection.

Some 478 kW and 850 N.m are produced by the standard 4,0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, directed to both the front and rear axles via an eight-speed automatic transmission. But the folks over at the Stetton-based company have developed a performance package to enhance the outputs to a whopping 575 kW and 1 032 N.m of torque; on tap from 6 200 r/min and 2 900 r/min, respectively.

Thanks to the firm’s N-tronic tuning modules (plus remapping of the injection, boost pressure control and ignition), Novitec says the modified Urus sprints to 100 km/h from standstill in a mere 3,3 seconds (three tenths of a second quicker than the standard model). Top speed has increased from 305 km/h to 310 km/h, which edges that of the world’s reigning fastest production SUV, the Bentley Bentayga Speed.

In addition, a 14-peice Esteso widebody kit has been fitted to the exterior. Equipped with extended wheelarches, the matte-black Urus you see here measures 100 mm wider than standard at the front and 120 mm wider aft.

Other cosmetic updates include a bespoke front spoiler and a diffuser-like insert at the rear, flanked by two sets of rectangular tailpipes, each finished in polished stainless steel (matte black exhaust tips are an option). According to Novitec, the roof-mounted spoiler and rear spoiler lip improve aerodynamics.

Riding on “state-of-the-art” 23-inch forged Vossen wheels, wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tyres (size 285/35 up front and 325/30 at the rear), the Urus’ adaptive air suspension setup has been lowered by 25 mm.
