The Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan Edition has been unveiled as a special trim for the British SUV. The edition adds a number of unique styling elements and standard features. We can expect it in SA in the first half of next year, with pricing to be confirmed closer to the time.
The Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan Edition features an array of standard features to enhance the comfort and convenience provided by the seven-seat SUV. Acting as the new flagship for the model, the new edition is available with a number of different powertrains. This includes the P360 48V mild-hybrid Ingenium petrol or the D300 Ingenium diesel.
The Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan Edition builds on the R-Dynamic HSE specification with Bright Atlas detailing for the grille and Discovery lettering. This is complemented by Hakuba Silver lower bumper inserts, 22-inch diamond turned alloy wheels with gloss grey detailing, black brake callipers, privacy glass and a sliding panoramic roof.
Standard features within the cabin include a head-up display and heated steering wheel, wireless phone charging, a front cooler compartment and four-zone climate control. The cabin is further enhanced with Titanium Mesh trim detailing. Furthermore, the R-Dynamic model now features a gloss black contrast roof as standard.
New to the Land Rover range as well is the group’s cabin air purification with PM2,5 air filtration. This monitors air quality inside and filters out harmful particulates for a healthier interior environment.
