The Lexus NX 450h+ has just launched in South Africa (be sure to keep an eye on our launch review), with the local arm of Toyota’s luxury division releasing pricing and spec for the new flagship NX.
Lexus NX 450h+ Price in South Africa
Positioned as the flagship offering in the local NX line-up, the NX 450h+ is priced from R1 336 200, with the asking pricing including a seven-year/105 000 km warranty and maintenance plan. A hybrid battery warranty spanning eight years or 195 000 km is included in the package.

Exclusively available in F Sport level of specification, the plug-in hybrid NX’s exterior features an array of design elements to lend it purposeful and sporty aesthetics. This includes the fitment of an F Sport-specific iteration of Lexus’ signature spindle grille and a set of gloss-black, 20-inch alloy wheels. F Sport-exclusive Poseidon Blue paintwork is also available. Adding to its sporty persona, the interior is equipped with electrically adjustable sports seats, replete with memory functionality, and aluminium pedals.
Continuing with the interior, as standard, the NX 450h+ features a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, replete with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto screen mirroring and sat-nav, a digital instrument binnacle and a head-up display. A wireless smartphone charging pad is also present. The wood-and-leather-trimmed multifunction tiller is electrically adjustable and offers heating functionality. A sunroof is included in the package.

The (all-wheel-drive) NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid setup, which comprises a 136 kW 2.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine and 134 kW electric motor, produces a peak power output of 227 kW. According to Toyota, the petrol-electric arrangement sips 1.3 L/100 km and offers an all-electric range of “around” 66.5 km.
