The Lexus RC F Fuji Speedway Edition has been unveiled as a limited edition performance coupe with a unique colour scheme and extra kit. Only 50 of these units will be produced.
The Lexus RC F Fuji Speedway Edition pays tribute to the track where the premium Japanese performance brand first started. This edition features a set of Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, a titanium exhaust and extensive use of carbon fibre to improve aerodynamics and reduce weight. With these changes, Lexus has dropped the 0-100 km/h time down from 4,2 to 3,9 seconds.
The Lexus RC F Fuji Speedway Edition will only be available in an Electric Surge paint which displays a semi-matte finish. The paint expresses a satin luster like that of a true matte finish but is durable enough go through an automatic car wash. Inside, every cockpit is decorated with black and blue Alcantara-trimmed seats with Alcantara accents on the gear shift knob and steering wheel. Blue carbon fibre ornamentation adorns the cabin for further distinction. F logo scuff plates and serialised badging add a finishing touch to this limited edition model.
In order to reduce overall mass on the Lexus RC F Fuji Speedway Edition, hollow half shafts and a lighter weight compact air conditioning compressor have been fitted. Not only do these components shed pounds, but they also lower its center of gravity and aid in handling precision. To maximise grip and minimise drag, key aerodynamic parts have been integrated to each corner of the coupe’s body.
The standard F-tuned adaptive variable suspension and redesigned 19-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres further claim to provide superior surefootedness while six-piston front and four-piston rear Brembo brakes bring everything to a standstill.
Within the cabin, all Lexus RC F Fuji Speedway Edition models offer a large 10,3-inch high-resolution split-screen multimedia display with full-screen map view. For added convenience, drivers can start their engine remotely with a smartwatch. To help them unlock a deeper appreciation of sound, the available 17-speaker, 835-watt Mark Levinson premium surround sound audio system is included.
