The local order books for the new Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe are open and we can now reveal pricing for this BMW X4 rival.
The range – which will complement the standard GLC mid-size SUV line-up – will at first comprise three all-wheel drive models: the GLC 220d, GLC 250d and GLC 250 (no pricing yet for the fire-breathing Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe or GLC 63 Coupe variants).
The GLC 220d Coupe comes in just short of R740 000, and draws its 125 kW/400 N.m urge from a 2,1-litre turbodiesel.
The GLC 250 Coupe, meanwhile, makes 155 kW and 350 N.m from its 2,0-litre turbocharged petrol four-pot, and is priced at R745 600.
The most expensive of the three is the GLC 250d Coupe, which will set you back R757 522. This model employs the same engine as the 220d, but with outputs increased to 150 kW and 500 N.m.
Of course, there are also all manner of optional extras (including styling packages) from which to choose.
Expect the GLC Coupe to launch in South Africa later this year.
