A road-going Lynk & Co 03+ Cyan Edition has been unveiled by the premium arm of Geely as a performance sedan with track-inspired design cues. This study is based on the WTCR concept car that was unveiled in 2018 with a number of alterations that make it suited for public roads.
Compared to the aforementioned design study, the final product is rather different. While a large rear wing mounted to the boot and the bright blue finish with yellow accenting remains, the Chinese performance sedan boast narrower side panels and loses the stacked exhaust tailpipes at the rear in favour of a conventional quad-pipe system. Certain elements on the front bumper have also been altered. The headlamp design remains largely unaltered but the taillamp cluster has been slightly revised.
Unfortunately the bold performance figures as claimed by the concept have been dramatically adjusted in favour of something a little bit more sensible. While the Lynk & Co 03+ Cyan Edition will retain the brand’s turbocharged 2,0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, the 398 kW and 504 N.m of torque figure has been decreased to 195 kW and 380 N.m. This is sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed torque converter.
Key equipment included on the Lynk & Co 03+ Cyan Edition is a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres, adjustable Bilstein dampers and a pair of bucket seats for the front row.
