The Mahindra Pik Up S6 automatic has been introduced to the Indian manufacturer’s South African range as a more accessible self-shifting double-cab option. The new trim sports the same drivetrain as the one found in the S11 but with a lighter list of standard features.
Starting at R378 999 for the 4×2 and R412 499 for the 4×4, the Mahindra Pik Up S6 automatic comes standard with front fog lamps, ABS with EBD, ESC and a knob selector for the 2H and 4H modes. It also sports air conditioning, an audio system with a USB and aux port, cruise control, central locking, electric windows and electrically adjustable door mirrors.
Mahindra has also added charging points to both the front and rear of the cabin, auto-locking doors, two airbags for the driver and front passenger and ISOFIX seat anchors for the safe fitment of child seats. Other features that are standard across the S6 range include an arm rest for the driver and front passenger and height adjustment for the driver’s seat.
For buyers who would like a more visually striking Mahindra Pik Up S6 automatic with an even higher specification level, Mahindra has added the S6 Automatic Karoo trim, with the same option between the 4×2 at R394 999 and 4×4 at R424 999. With these Karoo models, Mahindra’s design team has swopped the standard S6 steel wheels with off-road ready alloy rims.
Karoo models also receive a nudge bar, a rear styling bar instead of the bolted-on cab protector and a tonneau cover. The Karoo models further feature colour-coded rear wheel arch mouldings and rain deflectors fitted to the doors.
