Manhart has released a fresh tuning package for the BMW M8 Competition, handing the big coupé a hefty bump in power, a tweaked suspension and head-turning styling changes.
The MH8 800 kit for BMW’s twin-turbo 4,4-litre V8 includes upgraded turbochargers, intercooler and transmission, together with an ECU remap to increase peak outputs from 460 kW and 850 N.m of torque to 605 kW and 1 050 N.m. This is enough, says Manhart, for a blast from zero to 100 km/h in just 2,6 seconds (sixth tenths faster than standard). Acceleration from 100 to 200 km/h, meanwhile, is completed in a claimed 5,7 seconds.
Aural improvements come courtesy of a stainless-steel exhaust system culminating in four 100 mm tailpipes, which can be finished in a carbon or ceramic coating.
The M8 Competition also gains a set of height-adjustable coil springs sourced from KW, lowering the ride by 30 mm. A set of 21-inch Manhart Concave One alloy wheels further enhance the visuals and stance.
There’s also a dramatic body kit that includes a splitter and bumper inlay for the front, and a spoiler and diffuser for the rear. The tuner’s signature black-and-gold theme is rounded off with a set of Manhart decals.
Inside, the MH8 800 gains carbon-fibre paddle shifters and steering wheel spokes fashioned from the same lightweight material.
