The folks over at Mansory have whipped the covers off a fresh take on the Mercedes-AMG G63, transforming the iconic off-roader into a 625 kW single-cab bakkie.

As with the “Star Trooper” G63 SUV revealed in 2019, this fresh pick-up version was created in collaboration with German fashion designer Philipp Plein.

Mansory has applied all manner of distinctive body modifications (with plenty of red detailing) and bathed the interior in leather. The G63 Star Trooper Pickup furthermore gains a special grey camouflage paint finish as well as oodles of camouflage-effect carbon-fibre.

The rear passenger compartment has been ditched in favour of a load bay accessed via a side-hinged tailgate, unlike the recently revealed Brabus 800 Adventure XLP, which retains space for four by employing a double-cab body style.

While technical details are thin on the ground, the German tuner does say Affalterbach’s twin-turbo 4,0-litre V8 has had its peak outputs hiked from the standard 430 kW and 850 N.m to 625 kW and 1 000 N.m, which apparently cuts the 0-100 km/h time to just 3,5 seconds.

Just seven examples will be built…
