The Maserati Fuoriserie program intends to keep buyers of the Italian luxury automaker satisfied until a host of new models in their portfolio are released in the near future. Ferrari-powered Trofeo models are eligible for any number of customisations provided funding pockets are deep enough.
The Grecale which is set to break cover in the next few months is one of several cars that Maserati looks to introduce into their veteran lineup which also includes the MC20 supercar and all-electric Gran Turismo replacement. The brand has also shown some MC Editions to keep off-the-shelf customers happy but the Maserati Fuoriserie, custom-built in Italian program will add three new special edition models.
These include both premium sedans from Maserati; the Ghibli Trofeo and Quattroporte Trofeo as well as the Levante Trofeo SUV. All boast the same twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre V8 sourced from Ferrari that are good for 433 kW.
To demonstrate the exact realm of customising possibility, the brand with Poseidon’s Trident as an emblem have created bespoke versions of each model mentioned above. The Levante Trofeo has a bright coat of Orange Zest Metallic paint caressing its curves with 22-inch Orione wheels found on all corners. The Ghibli Trofeo exterior finish pays homage to the historic Birdcage Livery with a Blu Maserati undertone. The most subtle of the lot is the Quattroporte Trofeo which has a fresh lick of Verde Royale Metallic paint and 21-inch Orione wheels.
The interiors are as customisable as the exteriors with different fabric choices for the seats and material for the cockpit trim. Maserati will offer three made-to-measure collections for the above-mentioned models called Corse, Unica and Futura. The Corse collection pays homage to Maserati’s racing heritage with emphasis on colour accuracy and original components. Unica is focused around the latest fashion, art and culture trends with insight into future styles while Futura allows customers to experiment with materials through technological innovation in the design and decor industry.
The possibilities are limitless with Maserati open to almost any customisation desired by their Fuoriserie clientele but we feel as though it is only a matter of time before a tasteless connoisseur with deep pockets turns the evocative Italian design into a questionable collection of decisions.
