The new Nissan GT-R Nismo has been revealed, fittingly at the Nürburgring circuit on which it was developed.
Like the standard model, the GT-R Nismo features a freshened face. But unlike the standard model, the Nismo’s front bumper is fashioned from carbon-fibre.
Of course, the new Nissan GT-R Nismo also benefits from the standard model’s updated interior, which includes a redesigned dashboard and steering wheel. Unique to the Nismo, though, are the leather-trimmed Recaro bucket seats with red Alcantara inserts.
Nismo says it has also “refined” the all-wheel drive GT-R’s shock absorbers, springs and stabilisers, all of which, when combined with the car’s added downforce, “result in a better handling car than the previous model”.
The twin-turbocharged 3,8-litre V6 produces a mammoth 441 kW and 653 N.m (compared to the standard model’s 421 kW and 633 N.m), and is mated to a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox. As with the standard model, each GT-R Nismo engine is hand-assembled in Japan.
