German tuner DTE Systems has revealed tuning packages for the Mercedes-AMG A35 4Matic, handing Affalterbach’s baby hot hatch extra power and torque.

The Mercedes-AMG A35 4Matic’s 2,0-litre turbo-petrol mill has been chip-tuned to now send 252 kW and 465 N.m of torque to all four wheels via the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 27 kW and 65 N.m increase was achieved by connecting all central sensors (including the boost and intake pressure, and camshaft sensors) in the engine bay to its PowerControl RX tuning kit.

According to the Recklinghausen-based firm, these upgrades, plus the additional PedalBox+ package (which ostensibly enhances throttle response), results in improved performance from the A35 4Matic. DTE Systems claims a 0-100 km/h sprint time of “up to” 10 percent quicker than the original car’s 4,7 seconds, which translates to dash of 4,23 seconds.

How much does the additional performance cost? Well, first you’ll have to supply DTE Systems with a Mercedes-AMG A35 4Matic (see local pricing here) after which the company can fit the PowerControl RX (€999) and PedalBox+ (€259) packages which, at the current exchange rate, work out to around R16 400 and R4 250, respectively.
