Mercedes-Benz has released another teaser image of its upcoming S-Class Cabriolet. This new image shows what will be one of the company’s most expensive new models, together with the last S-Class Cabriolet to be manufactured.
The Cabriolet will offer seating for four individuals, while the luggage space will be down on that of the Coupe. The folding cloth roof will be Mercedes-Benz’s largest version to date and will feature a large, rear glass window. The chassis will also be strengthened and so will the windscreen frame.
Even though being a cabriolet, it seems Mercedes-Benz has still integrated small infotainment screens in the front headrests for the rear passengers to enjoy.
We can also expect this model to offer all the features found on the S-Class Coupe, while a few new technologies will also be introduced.
Original story
When the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class was released, it was just a matter of time before several more model derivatives would become available. We’ve since seen the beautiful S-Class Coupe and next on the list is the cabriolet version. Mercedes-Benz has released this teaser image, showing one of the design sketches of what would become one of the most luxurious cabriolets on the market.
Although we doubt the production version will be fitted with such massive wheels, this single sketch does give us a good idea regarding the car’s overall stance.
We would expect the engine line up of the coupe to match that of this cabriolet. This will mean in South Africa we are likely to receive the S500, S63 and S65 AMG Cabriolets.
The Cabriolet will debut at next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show, and expect local introduction around the second quarter of 2016.
